Professional Background and Experience
Ms. Mackman is an award-winning wellness-hospitality visionary. She is the owner and principal of MackmanES Consulting, a comprehensive spa, wellness, and hospitality prevision advisory and consultancy. She specializes in financial feasibility, creative program development, and facility planning, detailed performance modeling, CRE valuation underwriting support, market forecasting, and asset repositioning. Ms. Mackman is recognized as a vanguard in the wellness sector for her unique, multidimensional approach, pioneering cross-disciplinary programming, with over 20 years of esteemed industry experience and market accuracy.
Since 2001, Ms. Mackman has been a trusted consultant for owners, global investment firms, hotel and resort companies, mixed-use property developers, and hospitality organizations. As an industry expert at international think tanks, including the Summit of Minds in Chamonix, and through her efforts to improve global industry standards, she has built a broad client base and can navigate and excel in rapidly evolving markets. Based in Sedona, Arizona, U.S., Ms. Mackman founded the Arizona Spa & Wellness Association in 2012. She formed the Association to create an educational network that helps spa professionals integrate wellness and health services with traditional spa services. This made it the first professional “Spa & Wellness” Association to enter the global market in 2012.
In 2016, Ms. Mackman accepted an invitation to partner with the global hospitality firm HVS to create and lead the HVS Global Spa and Wellness Consulting Division, serving as Managing Director. In this partnership, she developed new-to-market, granular, integrative spa and wellness financial models for HVS, spearheading the division, working with HVS clients, and leading lending institutions, investment groups, and owners to provide financial feasibility, consulting services, program development, and CRE underwriting support. In 2022, she stepped away from her role with HVS to continue her advisory and consulting work. Today, in addition to her diverse range of clients and wellness hospitality projects, she continues to support HVS’ global client network.
A survivor of cancer since 2010, her core values include a wide range of social wellness and healing ecosystems aimed at improving quality of life and advancing holistic health. In her spare time, she is an artist, mystic, writer, and mother to her two adult children.
